What is the difference between audio and linear taper?
I'm looking to buy some pots for testing, but what is the difference between audio and linear tapers? MMK which means exponential 10s, probably better than going with linear because I am working with the flex circuit. This only alternative to using body contacts and help more. Thanks a bunch for the help.
A linear pot is just that. If a pot of 4k, then at the halfway point is measured about 2,000 ohms. Audio (hearing) is not linear but logarithmic, so the boat is behaving the same way.
